I haven't run away, just been incredibly busy. I managed to get lots of sample sewing done before the Adelaide Quilt & Craft Fair and will share these in more detail as soon as I find a minute. My sewing machine developed a squeek though so is off at the repairers getting a service. I miss it even though I don't have time to even think about using it.
We had a wonderful weekend this year and it was so wonderful to put faces to the names of many of my customers. I am looking forward to seeing many of you again in April next year for Inspired Stitches. It was also great to see some of my favourite shop owners again and to meet Carolyn from Veronica Violet.
For those of you doing the Pin Cushion of the Month, please accept my apologies for the delay in getting your kits out this month. Apart from the Craft Fair keeping me busy we having been waiting for a backorder of one of the fabrics to arrive. It still hasn't arrived unfortunately but we are told it has arrived at the warehouse so hopefully not too much longer. As we had part of the order we have been able to put together some of the kits and they will be on the way tomorrow. We thought the fairest way to do them would be in the order that you joined up so some of you may receive a surprise in the mail shortly, the rest should follow early next week.
I am sure many other shop owners would agree, that life would be much easier if fabric arrived when you expected. I really could do without these sort of surprises.
I will be heading over to Melbourne on Friday for the weekend to go to the Trade Fair - it's my turn to shop. I am also looking forward to meeting Amy Butler and of course catching up with all my favourite Aussie designers.
I received the latest issue of Homespun in the middle of all the excitement of the Quilt & Craft Fair and what should be on the cover but my own creation and sharing the pages was a quilt made by my sister Susan (the Christmas quilt). If you were at the Craft Fair Susan was the redhead helping me out. She went home with lots of goodies from the fair and from Quilt Fabric Delights so I am looking forward to seeing what she creates next.

Aren't those dolls so cute and there is a gorgeous little mouse inside to make.
A huge thank you to my fantastic sisters Susan and Karen and my equally fantastic friends Jodie and Ally who all helped me over the four days and to Marie (softies), Samantha (Tilda) and Jodie (softies) for making many other samples for me. I couldn't do it without them.
Well this post is all over the place a bit like my head at the moment so I will finish with some photos of our stand - I don't think you could miss us we were overloaded with brightness.
