Message for Pin Cushion Club Members

I am starting to receive emails and phone calls asking where you seventh Pin Cushion kit is.  I just want to remind you that it will be late.  Gigi is working as quickly as she can and as soon as she can get the Pin Toppers to us we will post out the seventh kit.

For those of you who haven't looked - there is a note in your February kit which explains the situation.

So I registered for Twitter some time ago and am still working out what it is all about.  Chooky Blue asked the other day what it was all about so that prompted me to start using it.  Maybe jumping in the deep end is the only way to learn.

I can see it is a great way to let you know about new arrivals, sales and the like since I really don't think you want to know what I ate for breakfast!

This and that

You'll have noticed that my blog posts have been a bit sparse lately.  I start most mornings with the intention of posting but the days  have developed this habit of flying by.  So what has been keeping my so busy?  Well I have been traveling vicariously, getting ready for Inspired Stitches which is fast approaching, ordering new products, unpacking new products and supplies for Inspired Stitches, containing my excitement about Inspired Stitches, you get the picture.

So back to traveling vicariously, where I have been, well I've been to South Africa and in particular to Kruger National Park.  My parents are currently visiting our friends in South Africa and their first week was spent with them at Kruger.  So I have been visiting here way too often, wondering what they were doing, what they were seeing and wishing that I were with them all.  This is the first time that we have had contact with my parents while they have been on an overseas trip.  We have been receiving email updates  and just to make me feel even 'greener' Dad emailed the most amazing photographs.

Mum's dream was to see a baby elephant in the wild.  Big tick!

Sigh!!  But I have Mrs Perkins, Phoebe (Marie, Ellie has gone to live with a lovely little girl in South Africa) and friends to keep me company and unlike the vervet monkeys Dad encountered, Magoo is well behaved and does not steal fruit from the kitchen table!

Inspired Stitches - Secrets

Janelle Wind along with some other clever designers have been designing up a storm and I have been having a hard time containing myself as these projects have popped into my inbox.  But they are secret squirrel projects for Inspired Stitches so I am just going to have to contain myself. If you have been procrastinating about coming along there are still some places for both Saturday and Sunday and if you are from Tasmania, then I would really love to hear from you.  So far I have attendees coming from Western Australia, the Northern Territory, New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland.  I really think we need a Tasmanian in attendance!!!

You may wish to bring your dancing shoes too!  Ooh we are going to have fun.

To keep you entertained in the meantime, I have put together kits for some of Janelle's new designs and can share those with you.  Her new table runner pattern Holly & Rainbows is just the thing to brighten up a room and it's never too early to start getting ready for Christmas.  So I have put together kits for the Holly Table Runner and the Rainbows Table Runner.  We are even able to offer Rainbows in the same fabrics as Janelle has used.  Of course you could do it in another colour way and I would be more than happy to help you select fabrics for a kit.

Janelle's other project that has been creating a buzz is her Candy Girl quilt in the latest edition of Homespun (No. 69 - Vol 10.2).  A customer asked me to put together a kit, and then another so I have cut more if you too would like to make this fun quilt.
